STEVE A. BUCHWALTER is a sole practitioner with an efficient and knowledgeable support staff focusing almost exclusively in the area of securities law, and business and corporate law formation and litigation. Approximately eighty-five percent (85%) of his practice is devoted to litigation of securities law matters. He is a graduate of University of LaVerne College of Law and was admitted to the bar in California (1993), and U.S. Court of Appeals 9th Circuit (1993). Prior to founding the Law Offices of Steve A. Buchwalter, P.C., he formerly worked at Investors Arbitration Services, Inc. as a staff attorney. In addition, he was a Licensed Commodity Trading Advisor and Stockbroker.
Considered an expert in his field, Mr. Buchwalter has appeared before the United States Senate, at their request, to testify regarding stockbroker practices. In addition, he has conducted numerous presentation on securities law matters to a wide audience.
Mr. Buchwalter represents individuals, corporations and non-profit corporations. His diverse experience has enabled him to successfully resolve over 400 cases. Mr. Buchwalter’s experience with Investors Arbitration Services has assisted him in both resolving and litigating disputes between stockbrokers and customers, and between different broker dealers.
In addition to securities law, Mr. Buchwalter practices in the area of business and corporate law formation and litigation. His extensive experience in litigation has assisted him in favorably resolving matters related to businesses and corporations.
Mr. Buchwalter’s commitment to helping his clients on a case-by-case basis is evident by his work ethic. From helping investors recover investment losses due to broker misconduct (e.g., churning, misrepresentation, and negligence) to assisting businesses with legal formation and resolving business disputes, the Law Offices of Steve A. Involvement in civil affairs is important to Mr. Buchwalter’s philosophy of life. In 2002 and 2003, he was the honorary chairman for the national Republican Congressional Committee Business Advisory Council.
